What We’re Listening To This Week

It’s another week, which means it’s time to share a few songs that have been keeping us company this week.

1. YOU ARE GOOD — Greatman Takit ft. Nathaniel Bassey

Greatman Takit and Nathaniel Bassey make an easy pairing on “YOU ARE GOOD.”

Released as part of Greatman Takit’s Flames Of A Wildfire project in July, the song carries joyful praise that feels right at home in a playlist you put on when you simply want to celebrate God.

It has also been getting attention on the Nigerian charts, so clearly we are not the only ones listening.

2. Good Day — Rotimikeys ft. Greatman Takit

If you need something a little lighter, “Good Day” is a good place to start.

Rotimikeys brought Greatman Takit onto this July release, and the result is a bright AfroGospel track that does exactly what its title suggests. It’s a great song to start your day with, and in our opinion, it’s an amazing sound that carries you through the day.

3. Love Linguistics — Anendlessocean

Anendlessocean has had quite a year.

His Love Is a Machinery album arrived in June, and “Love Linguistics” is one of the songs that has continued to stand out. It is softer and more introspective than some of the other songs on this list, giving us a chance to slow down for a few minutes.

If you like your AfroGospel thoughtful and atmospheric, add this one to the playlist.

4. HEAVENLY MAN — Greatman Takit ft. Oba Reengy

For our final pick, we are staying with Greatman Takit for one more.

“Heavenly Man” is another track from Flames Of A Wildfire, this time featuring Oba Reengy. It sits comfortably in that space between contemporary gospel and AfroGospel, with enough energy to keep the playlist moving.

That’s our playlist for the week.

What song have you had on repeat lately? Send it our way. We might just add it to next week’s list!
