What We’re Listening To This Week

There is something about a good gospel playlist that can completely change the mood of your day.

You may start with one song playing in the background, and before you know it, you are singing along, remembering old favourites, discovering something new, or simply enjoying the reminder of God’s goodness.

This week, we’re keeping things simple and putting together a mix of songs that have been on our minds lately. We have some AfroGospel favourites, a little trip outside Nigeria, and a throwback that we are sure will bring back some memories.

Here is what the team at AfroGospel Music is listening to this week.

Bigger Everyday, Moses Bliss

Bigger Everyday is one of those Moses Bliss songs that carries a very simple message. The song is built around the confidence that God is taking us from one level to another, and that there is always room to believe in Him for more.

It is hopeful, joyful, and very much the kind of song you can put on when you need a little reminder that your story is still unfolding.

Siyabonga Jesu, Solly Mahlangu

For our African pick this week, we are travelling to South Africa.

Siyabonga Jesu by Solly Mahlangu is a beautiful praise song centred on thanksgiving to Jesus. The title itself means “Thank You, Jesus”, and the song celebrates God’s faithfulness and His presence through life’s journey.

I Know Who I Am, Sinach

And finally, we are going back to one of those songs that somehow still feels recent even though it has been with us for more than a decade.

Many of us remember singing it in church and dancing to it at programmes. The song became a believer’s anthem, built around identity, God’s promises, and the confidence that comes from knowing who we are in Christ.

Play it today and there is a very good chance that everyone in the room will start singing along.

That’s Our Playlist For The Week. Now we want to hear from you. What are you listening to this week?

Send your favourite AfroGospel songs our way. We read your recommendations, and who knows, your song might make it onto next week’s Playlist. Until then, keep listening and keep enjoying good music.
