2025 has been a great year for the Afrogospel and the Gospel music community in general. Month after month we got to praise God with the best music released by different gospel artists all over the world.

From the earth shaking “No turning back” to Lawrence Oyor’s “Favour” becoming the most streamed Nigerian song on Spotify, 2025 has been a year of great music and achievements for the kingdom.

So here’s a list of some of our favourite songs this year. We hope you enjoy them as much as we do.

Jugular Jugular by Lawrence Oyor ft Greatman Takit

This year, we enjoyed back to back hits by Minister Oyor. We had “The Alignment Chant”, “Favour”, “Jugular Jugular”, and most also “No turning back” where he was featured by Gaise Baba.

Chants are a great way to usher in God’s presence and connect deeper in music, and we thoroughly enjoyed Jugular, particularly with all the interesting choreographies and social media challenges started by the trending hit.

Oluwatosin by Tkeyz

Originally created by Minster Tkeyz, Oluwatosin went viral for its remix by an artist of Tiktok, Deborah Ufedojo.

We loved both versions, and it soon became a viral hit that has lasted through the months since its release.

Bota Joor by Prinx Emmanuel

BO. TA. JO! If you don’t want to use the door, you can use the window!

This energetic sound has been everywhere, and we love it!

By Prinx Emmanuel, we saw this sound grow and spread across platforms and churches, and we’re still enjoying it, into 2026 and beyond.

Eze Abata by Chinyere Udoma

We love a good Igbo song that reminds us of the power and strength in God’s name.

This beautiful song has lyrics that translate into “when God arrives, all my prayers are answered”

It’s no wonder the song went viral. It’s beautifully written, with deep lyrics, and it has been one of our absolute favourites this year.
