As December rolls in and Christmas lights scatter brightness across our streets, something shifts in the air.

There’s joy. Reflection. Gratitude. And that quiet awareness that God has carried us from January till now. Interestingly, this same spirit is woven into Greatman Takit’s “No Lele.”

It may not be a Christmas song, but its message fits the season: because Christ came, we walk in victory, protection, peace, and rest.

1. A “No Lele” Christmas Reminds Us That God Is Our Defender

A major theme in No Lele is God’s unshakable defense over His children.

The same God who shielded baby Jesus from Herod’s murderous plot is the same God who has shielded you through this year — from dangers you saw and the ones you never knew about.

> Any thing they plan against me o — No lele

Una fugo my defender o — No lele

That your catapult go meet odeshi o — No lele

A No Lele Christmas is the kind of Christmas where you rest. Because God kept you. God carried you. And God stood between you and every plan of the enemy.

2. A “No Lele” Christmas Shows That God Always Makes a Way

In the song, Greatman references some of Scripture’s biggest miracles — walls collapsing, seas parting, enemies defeated. Christmas is the ultimate version of that truth. Humanity needed a Savior, and God made an impossible way through a virgin birth.

> Wall of Jericho dey fall yakata

Red Sea still dey split on top my matter

Pharaoh let my people go without masala

Before your people turn cadaver

3. A “No Lele” Christmas Is Rooted in the Joy Jesus Brings

December carries a celebratory energy or as Greatman puts it:

> Onwa December, Naso my life be

Flenjo Flenjo everywhere you see

You want to thief enjoyment Jesus give to me

Thunder from eligwe answer you

4. A “No Lele” Christmas Helps Us See the Victories We Forgot to Count

One of the strongest threads in No Lele is gratitude — not just for what God did loudly, but for what He did quietly.

Many enter December with disappointment about what didn’t happen. But Christmas recenters the heart:

Instead of dwelling on unanswered prayers, we celebrate the ones God answered.

So as you step into this season, let this be your declaration:

“God kept me, God carried me, and God will continue to go ahead of me, No lele.”
