There is a generation of young Christians who know the right songs, attend the right services, and follow the right accounts but somewhere along the line, the basics got lost. No consistent prayer. No daily time in the Word. Just a faith that looks active on the outside but is running on empty. Gaise Baba noticed it and his response was simple: go back to the fundamentals. The Word and prayer. The two pillars that have always been at the heart of genuine spiritual growth. This metamorphosed into the song “Want to Grow”, a song designed not just to be enjoyed but to inspire the next generation to return to a life of devotion.
What makes this story particularly remarkable is what happened before the song was released. In the hours leading up to the release, between 200 and 400 people gathered virtually for two hours of prayer.
For Gaise Baba, releasing the song was only the beginning. On June 1, 2026, the first Urgent 2Hours prayer session was held in Ikorodu. A neighborhood prayer walk bringing young people together in the evening to pray. Out in the streets, in neighborhoods, in the spaces where everyday life happens.

The vision is simple: build a generation of young people who pray and study their bibles. Individuals who don’t just know the right words but who actually show up consistently, intentionally, and collectively to seek God together.
And Ikorodu was just the beginning.
On June 4th, the Urgent 2Hours prayer walk made its way to Uyo, Akwa Ibom State but not before the state government had invited him for a prayer summit. And on the 7th of June, Yola joined the movement. Every session is streamed live on Instagram, meaning young people who can’t attend physically can still participate from wherever they are.
The next neighbourhoods are Gbagada and Yaba both in the city of Lagos on Wednesday and Friday as the momentum continues to build across the city.
In a generation bombarded with noise, content, and endless distraction, Gaise Baba is encouraging us to open our bibles, pray everyday and do it consistently.
“Want to Grow” isn’t just a song title. It’s a question directed at every young believer listening. Urgent 2 hours everyday, urgent 3 hours everyday, because we want to grow.
