Another week, another round of songs added to our playlist
September has been generous with new gospel music, and this week’s picks move across AfroGospel, praise, worship and a few newer voices we think deserve your attention.
Here are four songs we’re listening to this week.
C&B (Cast & Bind) — Greatman Takit
Greatman Takit has been having quite a run this year, and “C&B (Cast & Bind)” is one of his newest releases.
The song debuted on the Nigerian Afro-Gospel chart this week, joining several other Greatman Takit records that have been making their way up the charts.
If you have been following his music, you already know what to expect.
Yours Truly — Saelem ft. Ugoaelo
Saelem is one of the newer voices we are keeping an eye on.
“Yours Truly,” featuring Ugoaelo, debuted on the Afro-Gospel chart this week at No. 15.
There is something refreshing about hearing newer artists find their sound without trying too hard to fit into one particular box. This is one to add if you are looking for something new to enjoy.
Oruko — Gaise Baba
Gaise Baba has had a very strong 2026, and “Oruko” is another record adding to the conversation.
The song was sitting at No. 2 on the Afro-Gospel chart for the week of September 11, while “ADML” by Greatman Takit held the top spot.
“Oruko” is new, fresh and a great place to start if you’re not already a fan of Gaise baby’s music.
If Not For You — Frank Edwards
“If Not For You” was released this week, joining a new wave of gospel releases that arrived around September 15.
It is always interesting to hear an artist with such a long catalogue continue to put out new music. Frank Edwards has been part of Nigerian gospel music for years, and there is something special about hearing that familiar voice on a fresh record.
That’s our playlist for this week.
What have you been listening to lately?
Tell us! It just might be the top song on next week’s list.
