What if the gospel could be communicated without a microphone?

For The Children of God Creative Ministry (COG), creativity itself becomes a vehicle for ministry. Through dance and visual expression, the ministry demonstrates that there are different ways to communicate the message of Christ and engage people with gospel music.

Based in Ghana, COG has become part of the growing African Christian creative space, using dance to bring gospel songs to life. Their work includes dance ministrations and challenges around songs from contemporary gospel artists, including Moses Bliss’ “You Are Great.”

In 2025, the ministry released a dance EP titled HELP (His Everlasting Love Demonstrated). The five-part project featured “No Greater Love,” “Always,” “Victory,” “EXchange,” and “No Turning Back,” released between February 23 and March 7.

One of COG’s most notable moments came through Gaise Baba and Lawrence Oyor’s “No Turning Back II.” Their dance content for the song became one of the most viral bringing their creative work to an even wider audience. Their work eventually caught Gaise Baba’s attention, leading to the ministry being featured in the music video for his song “Want To Grow.” This is a good example of how a creative ministry can move beyond social media content and become part of the visual storytelling of gospel music itself.

A gospel song can be listened to, but it can also be seen. A lyric can be sung, but its message can also be communicated through movement. For a generation that consumes much of its content visually, this creates another opportunity for the gospel to reach people where they are.

The idea isn’t entirely foreign to Scripture either. David famously danced before the Lord in 2 Samuel 6, reminding us that movement and physical expression have long been part of how people have responded to God.

What COG represents is therefore bigger than dance videos. It is an example of Christians using the gifts and creative abilities available to them to serve God’s purpose.

In an era where gospel music is increasingly finding new audiences through social media, ministries like Children of God Creative Ministry remind us that there are many ways to communicate the gospel.

Sometimes, you don’t need another microphone.

You just need the creativity God has already placed in you.
