Last month, we took our time to delve into the list of thriving female gospel singers in Nigeria, but it seems we missed some people. Today, we are taking a look at the young and thriving women of Afro gospel. Let’s call this list the next generation, because they all give us a different vibe, and we all love them.

  1. Annatoria

You might know Annatoria as the person who took home the trophy on The Voice UK in 2020, but she’s been up to so much more since then. This talented artist, hailing from Zimbabwe and now based in the UK, has carved out her own niche in AfroGospel music.

Her debut project, “Count My Blessings,” dropped in 2021, and it really felt like a burst of fresh air. It features catchy tracks like “I smile” and “Angels.” In her discography, she’s also dropped some great songs like “Stay with me” and “Calling”. 1. Ib Quake

Ib Quake might not fit the classic mold of an AfroGospel artist, but trust me she’s no stranger to it. If you’ve ever been lucky enough to catch her live, especially at events like The Experience Lagos, you know what I’m talking about. Ib Quake, or Ibukun Àjàgbé who is a spoken word artist has a unique gift for captivating audiences and making them feel every word she delivers. And let’s not forget that she’s not just a one-hit wonder as she’s taken the stage at major events like WOFBEC 2025 and Limoblaze’s Live in Concert

On the music front, she’s been super busy She had a collaboration with TimiTrigger and Sinmidele on the track “Superhero”. And let’s not forget about her appearance in the music video for “Love Practitioner” by Anendlessocean. That one really got people talking, especially with the chemistry between them—fans are speculating about whether there’s a romance brewing or not. Her portfolio is packed with thought-provoking pieces, including “Ajegunle to Forbes,” “Identity Creed,” “For Your Ears Only,” and “What it Means to Be a Nigerian.” and many more.
