Whether it was the infectious “Hosanna” with Limoblaze and Gaise Baba, “Double Double” featuring Greatman Takit, or one of his many collaborations across AfroGospel, his voice has become increasingly familiar to listeners.
Born Jesusomitodun Oladimeji Peters and hailing from Ekiti State, Nigeria, Oba Reengy began his musical journey in 2012 as a hip-hop artist before embracing AfroGospel as a way of expressing both his African identity and his Christian faith. Today, he is widely recognised for blending Yoruba expressions, Afrobeat rhythms, rap, and heartfelt storytelling into music.
Oba Reengy is a versatile artist. His songs can be energetic and celebratory one moment, then reflective and personal the next. Over the years, he has worked alongside artists such as Limoblaze, Greatman Takit, Rehmahz, Marizu, Gaise Baba, TBabz, and many others.
