Whether he’s leading worship in a local church or performing at larger events, his energy creates an uplifting experience for everyone involved. Born on June 20, 1979, in Edo State, Nigeria, Joe Praize, whose full name is Joseph Omo Ebhodaghe, is a renowned gospel music minister, songwriter, music director, praise and worship leader.
He’s got a degree in Social Work and Administration from the University of Jos. Things changed for him in 1991 when he became a born-again Christian, and that experience had a huge impact on his life and music. His faith gave him a real sense of purpose and pointed him toward a path of serving others through his songs.
He officially kicked off his music journey in 2005 when he became the praise and worship leader at Christ Embassy, also known as LoveWorld. This platform has provided him with the amazing opportunity to lead worship and minister through music all around the globe. He has led worship sessions in places like South Africa, Canada, The UK, The US, Australia, Italy, Spain, Switzerland, Cyprus, Ghana, Qatar, and even the Philippines.
“Mighty God,” was the song that became his breakout hit. It was so well-received that it earned him the prestigious Song of the Year award at the 2010 LoveWorld Awards.
