There have been a lot of rising stars in the Afro-gospel industry and the good news is that these new guys are shining light. We have had a lot of new EPs, albums, and singles that are soul-lifting, interesting, and danceable. However, we have also had a few ‘bad songs’ that didn’t make it to the limelight for varying reasons such as poor production, lack of music mastery, and creativity.

There has been a lot of uproar about whether or not some singers are creative. Many times, this conversation span different subject. But Dr. Foy focused on why Christian singers ought to feel comfortable with receiving criticism if they sing a bad song and not claim that they got the song from heaven. This is absolutely true, we need to have excellent singers in the industry. Afro-gospel is more than just ampiano beat, it is about the soul-lifting lyrics and the experience that each listener feels whenever they listen to your song.
